¿Qué es un ariete hidráulico?

El ariete hidráulico o bomba de ariete es una bomba hidráulica que sin ayuda de un motor, ni energía externa logra utilizar la energía cinética de la caída de un fluido para subir ese mismo fluido a un nivel superior, es usado principalmente en lugares donde no hay fácil acceso a energía eléctrica, estos son usados para subir parte del caudal de un rio a una altura superior o incluso para labores de riego por aspersión, muy usado en el campo para subir agua a fincas.

¿Cómo funciona un Ariete Hidráulico?

El agua de un rio, arroyo o quebrada fluye a través de un caño de alimentación, cuando logra la suficiente velocidad y rebalse , cierra la válvula de rebalse, una pequeña parte de agua pasa por la válvula de retención ingresando a su vez  a la cámara de aire comprimido, que a su vez ejerce presión sobre la retención cerrándola, esto impide que el agua regrese al caño de alimentación. En ese momento la presión de aire es superior a la elevación de salida, lo que logra es que esta pequeña cantidad de agua suba para llegar al tanque de almacenamiento.

El cierre de la válvula de retención alivia presión en la válvula de rebalse que por el mismo peso de la válvula se abre, creando  así un ciclo continuo que se efectúa automáticamente

Instalación y Requerimientos técnicos del ariete hidráulico

Para que el ariete hidráulico funcione necesita una fuente con la cantidad suficiente de agua que a su vez es conducida por un tubo que puede ser de PVC, hierro galvanizado, entre otros; el salto o caída de agua debe ser preferiblemente mayor a los 60 centímetros verticales, la altura del tanque de almacenamiento debe ser superior a seis veces la caída y menor a doce, en caso de estar en una altura inferior a seis veces se puede corregir el problema con una válvula de contrapresión.

La cantidad de agua elevada por el ariete es cerca de 1/20 del agua que se suministra, es importante tener en cuenta que el ariete se debe asegurar sobre una superficie resistente y que esta debe estar adecuada para soportar la caída de agua de la válvula de rebalse, es preferible que la tubería no tenga curvas y en caso de que las tenga estas deben ser preferiblemente de ángulos abiertos, evitar los codos y ángulos cerrados ya que pueden ocasionar perdidas por fricción.

Es importante colocar en el tubo de alimentación un filtro que evite la entrada de cuerpos extraños que puedan alterar el correcto funcionamiento de la bomba de ariete, todas las juntas deben evitar la entrada de aire, se recomienda la instalación por parte de expertos, para ellos nos puede contactar dando clic acá, ya que la inadecuada instalación puede causar alteraciones en la presión ocasionando golpes violentos que puede deteriorar prematuramente el equipo, un ariete correctamente instalado puede tener una vida útil de hasta treinta años.
